As the sun was beginning to set one evening, I noticed the tiny plants growing in the cracks and crevices of the wooden deck I was standing on. This was a place where I’d spent a great deal of time, but I had never noticed these delicate and beautiful creatures before. It inspired me to grab my camera and explore this known terrain from a new perspective. To slow down, to draw my gaze in, closer to my body. To get down and look closer at the things around me. Quite amazing what happens when we take the take to look at things differently.
