location: Swannanoa, North Carolina
type: Residential Remodel
completed: Spring 2011

This remodel began from the need to add a bathtub to a house without one, for an avid bather. Once into the transformational spirit of the renovation project, the opportunity to upgrade a fairly banal suburban bathroom with low-end fixtures and finishes into a sanctuary for cleaning the body took hold. The result of the effort is a unique, warm, modern space that encourages slowing down and taking time for self-care.
